Within these pages we hope to include images and information on
animal behaviour
throughout the seasons.
Pauline has a smallholding and her own personal nature reserve and is on constant watch for wildlife.

Welcome to Thistledown Meadows.

Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun.  .........  and us! What a scorcher of a summer,
reminiscent of when we were children and the school holidays lasted forever.
Even the grass snakes have been basking in view this year, much less elusive than last.
All is safely gathered in, hay that is, and the fruit trees have managed to produce a harvest this year.
Enough plums to make jam! and blackberries and sloes for wine and gin.
Roll on Christmas !!!
