Great Music
SnodFest Music Festival
Festival in The Park

Saturday 13th September 2014

This year we are combining our SnodFest event with
‘Have a Field Day’ to promote the work of Fields in Trust.
We are pleased to announce that ‘Fields in Trust’ have recently given the Upton Snodsbury Parish Park official and legal protection which will ensure that the park remains an enjoyable outdoor space for
generations to come.

Fields in Trust is the only national organisation
which has specific responsibility for acquiring, protecting and improving
playing fields and other outdoor facilities for sport, recreation and play. Fields in Trust works to improve the quality of life and health of everyone by working to ensure the availability, protection and development of high quality, well used local facilities for all communities throughout the
United Kingdom.

Fields in Trust work with the government to promote sport and
exercise and it has also had a longstanding relationship with the
royal family. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became the
Patron in 1952 and retains that involvement today.
The Royal Family have been immensely influential and
supportive of the charity’s work,
particularly in protecting playing fields and open spaces through the
King Georges Fields foundation (memorial to King George V) and the
Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge(celebration of Her Majesty’s
Diamond Jubilee Year. The Duke of Edinburgh served for over sixty
years as president before handing this position over to the
Duke of Cambridge in 2013.

We at USPRA are very pleased to be associated with ‘Fields in Trust’
and are looking forward to a fabulous Field Day on the 13th September
in conjunction with SnodFest!!
